Peter Thompson coordinates TTC and clients’ internal and external communications, providing editorial oversight for policy, member, and event messaging. He manages clients’ day-to-day operations, program development and coalition building. Peter works collaboratively with TTC directors to identify and pursue business development opportunities.
Prior to joining TTC, Peter worked for the Greater Raleigh Merchants Association and Shop Local Raleigh, advocating for locally-owned, independent businesses in Wake County, North Carolina. Through this role, he planned large community events like the Brewgaloo Beer Festival and the annual Raleigh Christmas Parade. He worked to increase the awareness of the Raleigh City Council on the issues and benefits of local businesses for the economy. Peter previously held positions on the NHL Carolina Hurricanes Promotion and Fan Development Department and interned at the Forest Resources Association in the summer of 2014.
Peter Thompson holds a B.A. in Communication Media, with a Journalism minor, from North Carolina State University and was a Demmer Scholar under a joint program at Michigan State University and Mississippi State University.
