TTC Announces Carbon Management Event

TTC is planning a special meeting to develop the technical, business and policy information base related to the technologies associated with carbon management, in early Winter, 2007/2008.

Technology Transition has been working with several companies and universities to explore the development of a new organization that has been informally named the Carbon Management Council.  The purpose of this organization would be to address the large need for building capacity for the reduction of CO2 emissions from existing power and industrial facilities, developing analytical and data driven frameworks for understanding the potential of today's and emerging technologies to address this critical issue, and providing credible information to policy makers.  The scope of the organization would be the capture, reduction, storing, measurement and monitoring of carbon reduction strategies, and the re-use of CO2 in energy and industrial processes.

As an outgrowth of this exploration, the company has committed to organizing a conference in Washington, DC, in early December, 2007 to pull together the best foundational information on this broad areas of interest.

Opportunities to co-host and sponsor this event are available. If you are interested the Carbon Mangement Council or this event, please contact Jerome Hinkle at 202 457-0868 x307, or jhinkle@ttcorp.com.
